Frequently Asked Questions

General FAQ

How can I get more information on ELI’s philosophy, curriculum, or services?

We regularly hold informational webinars that provide more in depth information in these areas. You can register for an upcoming live webinar. If you’d like to “speak to a person,” please e-mail info@elimindset.com and one of our amazing ELI team members will be in touch with you within one business day.

Student FAQ

How do I access my online course materials?

Most students will access their materials through their school’s Learning Management System (LMS), e.g. Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L. If the institution delivering your course doesn’t use one of these LMSs, you will access your course in Moodle via this link. Once you enter the course for the first time, you will be asked to insert an access code.

My access code doesn’t work, what should I do?

If your code doesn’t work, please first ensure that you are typing in your code correctly, being mindful of 1 vs. I and 0 vs. O. If your code still doesn’t work, please contact the ELI team at support@elimindset.com. Requests to correct this problem are normally handled within one business day. For immediate assistance during business hours, you can call the ELI Office directly at 440-255-8861.

I lost my access code, what should I do?

If you’ve lost your access code, you will need to contact your institution’s bookstore to purchase a new one. Alternatively, you can purchase a new access code directly from our Store.

I finished my course but want to continue viewing my online materials, is this possible?

If your course was delivered via your institution’s Learning Management System, you will lose access to course materials once your institution shuts down your course in the LMS. If your course was delivered via Moodle, you will lose access after 365 calendar days from your initial log-in.

Facilitator FAQ

In order to instruct ELI curriculum, do I have to be certified as a Facilitator? Why?

Yes. Our facilitator training process ensures that those who wish to use our curriculum fully understand the philosophy of the entrepreneurial mindset, are proficient in the tools available to them for course delivery, and have the skills to properly facilitate the material. This quality control ensures that when clients experience ELI courses, their investment in time and resources is worthwhile.

Does ELI offer scholarships for their programs?

We do have a scholarship program available for United States-based organizations who service participants in a Small Business Administration HUBZone. For more information, please contact us at info@elimindset.com.

Unfortunately, we do not provide scholarships for facilitator training or other ELI services.

Does ELI have an online Facilitator Training option?

Not at this time.

Where can I find more specific information about Facilitator Training such as location, hotel accommodations, training agenda, etc.?

Please see our event specific information under the Training page. Once registered, you will receive additional information via email to prepare for training 1-2 weeks prior to the event.

How can I offer ELI curriculum as an independent facilitator?

Independent Facilitators (not affiliated with an ELI partner organization) are often consultants already, so we encourage them to add ELI program facilitation to their existing portfolio of services.

Once you are a certified facilitator you will be authorized to purchase ELI curriculum materials and will have access to an extensive Facilitator Materials library. To offer ELI curriculum, you can order course materials from our Store, and we will begin the course set-up process.

How do I order materials and setup my class?

If you are going to offer the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program, the first step is to submit an order of course materials for your participants. This can be completed in our online Store or by faxing a Purchase Order to 440-255-8862.

After we have received your order of course materials, an ELI representative will be in contact with you for additional information needed to setup your class. If you want the class setup on your institution’s Learning Management System (LMS), we need the name and contact information of the LMS administrator.

If you are an Independent Facilitator or do not have a LMS, we will setup your class on ELI’s Moodle instance and will need a spreadsheet of participants with first name, last name, and email address. When the class setup is complete, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions for accessing your course.

How far in advance should I set up my course LMS shell?

Courses may be set up as soon as you need access to begin preparing for class. Generally, we will provide a course shell within 3-5 business days. Please submit your class setup request at least ten business days prior to your first day of class. If you have an immediate need, please send an urgent e-mail to info@elimindset.com, and we will attempt to support your set up within three business days.

How far in advance do I have to order books and other hard copy materials?

Please place your order for course materials at least 21 business days prior to your first day of class to avoid expedited shipping costs.

Are your programs accessible?

Yes, all of our programs are accessible and conform to 508 and WCAG requirements. To learn more, visit our Accessibility Page.
