The St. Petersburg Greenhouse, which offers many classes and workshops for entrepreneurs and small business owners, has partnered with Pinellas Technical College and Eckerd College to bring the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program to St. Petersburg, Florida. “Our focus at the Greenhouse is generally on technical skills and business training programs,” notes Sean Kennedy, Greenhouse Manager, “what’s unique about the Ice House Program is that it focuses on how entrepreneurs look at the world.” Read the rest…

Sioux City School District in Iowa implemented ELI Programs as a high school dual-credit elective to educate students on the entrepreneurial mindset. Teacher Chris Dicus said the course showed students that they “can change their trajectory and their lives ” and that “you can choose to become something that maybe you never thought you could before.” Read the full story.

The City of Alexandria in Louisiana will contribute up to $12,500 toward a program aimed at helping potential entrepreneurs develop “a mindset for success.” International motivational speaker Les Brown is coming to Alexandria on Tuesday to get people fired up about the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program.
