A Lexington nonprofit organization is offering free, virtual training for small business owners, aiming to energize local entrepreneurs.
Sustainable Business Ventures’; (SBV) program includes five, weekly, 90-minute ZOOM sessions. The meetings will discuss the book, “Who Owns the Ice House? Eight Life Lessons from an Unlikely Entrepreneur.” The first community read session begins May 27 at 4:30 p.m.
SBV President, Bobby Clark, said in a statement the key lessons from the book include identifying and overcoming self-limiting beliefs and embracing an entrepreneurial mindset as a life-skill. Also, he shared that the program will empower people to recognize their opportunities.
SBV received a grant from the U.S. The Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development to help teach individuals how to make entrepreneurship an alternative to full-time employment.
