Erie County, the United Way, Erie Public Schools, and the Innovation Collaborative announce that the Ice House Program will inspire and instill the entrepreneurial mindset within more than 800 seventh-grade students. The goal is to change the mindsets of young people in Northwestern Pennsylvania to be much more entrepreneurial.
According to the Erie Schools Assistant Superintendent, Bea Habursky, they would learn “what character traits they would need in order to find a problem and solve a problem. It would go through that step-by-step action. Then, there will be some role models that they actually can see who’s out there that is absolutely doing that type of work.”
