NISOD’s International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence is going VIRTUAL on April 28-30, 2021! Although we won’t be joining everyone else in Austin, Texas, we look forward to learning, sharing, and celebrating with community and technical college educators passionate about teaching and learning. Come and be inspired by thought-provoking sessions designed specifically for community and technical college educators committed to improving student achievement.
The conference features 70 concurrent sessions, three general sessions, and multiple Excellence Awards Celebrations over 2.5 days.
ELI Founder, Gary Schoeniger will be presenting a session with Sonia Thorn, Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs for Pasco-Hernando State College on how they’ve created an entrepreneurial learning environment. Community and Technical Colleges are recognizing the need for students to develop entrepreneurial attitudes and skills—to increase engagement and also encourage social mobility and economic empowerment. Partnering with ELI, PHSC provides professional development for faculty and co-curricular activities to students, spurring socio-economic mobility in a region needing this positive impact.
